- Gilgandra to Wilcannia
- water over roads near Warren which we were warned about . Watched 4 wheel drive cars go through and give us the thumbs up. 4 crossings through wide but not too deep flooded roads. Pot holes a bit scary, a week previously would not have made it.
- Stopped at Nevertine pop'n 30 to give mojo a run. 2 boys on bikes approached us when walking down their street. Sally asked why they lived in nevertine - one said "cos my mum fell in love with Adam"!!!
- Sally said she was on an adventure- boy's said nothing here is an adventure! Think we were probably the most exciting thing to happen on their school holidays!
- Turned right at nevertine to Nygan, then left to Cobar an old mining town
- Straight roads for about 300kms. Steady stream of cars, caravans, RV's and trucks coming the other way, 3 cars overtook us!!! We seem to be going against the tide!!
- All very green and beautiful purple and white wild flowers on sides of road
- Wilcannia on the Darling River camp site. Lagoon to walk around and no mozzies!! Just flies!
- Camp roast night, sitting in circle around fire! But surprisingly fun and we weren't the youngest!
- At our table was Norm from Sunshine Coast QLD who looked like he couldn't walk 10 metres let alone drive a caravan around Australia!!
- Still no hot water!
- And no wifi to load photos -sorry!
